Alex  Che Johnson

Aka, Alex Plain / Che, is a founder member of seminal post punk cold wave band Modern Eon, their debut album Fiction Tales was released June 1981 on Din Disc and an expanded version of the album was released by Cherry Red Records for the 40th anniversary in 2021

In 1989 he recorded the album Narcotic under the name Che for Siren Records, working alongside the inimitable Adrian Sherwood ( On-U Sound ) featuring Doug Wimbish, Scott McDonald and the late great Keith Le Blanc

Nov 2021 saw the release of The Gong Farmers second album Guano Junction, Mark Graham / Andrew Keeling were joined by Alex Che Johnson  David Jackson (Van der Graff Generator) Noko (Apollo 440, Magazine) Cliff Hewitt (Modern Eon, Appolo 440 etc) and others.

Production

Alex has produced and collaborated with various artist's  including Micheal Rose ( Black Uhuru )  Hoodlum Priest, Aziz Ibrahim, Andrew Keeling , Cliff Hewitt, Tim Lever, Norman fisher Jones ( Noko 440) Pete Burns (Kill Shelter) Dadashanti, Mark Graham, Chuck Leavell, Bobby Keys, Ronnie Wood to name but a few.

He is also a creative graphic designer /  Mix Media Artist.
